One Year as a B Corp: Reflecting on Our First Impact Report

This past year has been transformative for The PR Network. Since earning our B Corp certification in July 2023, we’ve been on a journey to enhance our social and environmental impact. Today, we’re proud to share our first B Corp Impact Report, highlighting our achievements and setting the stage for our future goals.

Reflecting on Our First Year

One year ago, we embraced the B Corp ethos, committing to high standards of performance, accountability, and transparency. This report marks a significant milestone in our ongoing journey towards sustainability and equity.

Key Achievements

Here are some highlights from our first year:

  • Environment: Partnered with Furthr to measure our emissions and invested in Gold Standard verified offset projects in Myanmar and Uganda. We also planted 50 trees in our company forest.

  • Governance: Integrated B Corp values into our business processes, launched a supplier and partner code of conduct, and made responsible changes to limit travel.

  • Workers: Introduced an Employee Giving Fund, provided extensive training opportunities, and held wellness initiatives such as the Tour de PRN.

  • Community: Donated over £50,000 to various charities, supported DE&I initiatives, and continued our support of Women in PR.

  • Customers: Maintained high customer satisfaction, launched an ESG advisory practice, and grew our PRN Collective.

Plans for Year Two

As we move into our second year, we are committed to building on these foundations. Our focus areas include:

  • Environment: Improving measurement of third-party emissions, smarter tech purchasing, and team education on sustainability.

  • Governance: Integrating social and environmental goals into job descriptions and establishing an external advisory board.

  • Workers: Enhancing benefits and aiming for 95%+ employee satisfaction.

  • Community: Increasing local supplier spending and launching a new volunteering initiative.

  • Customers: Partnering with more B Corps and aiming for even higher customer satisfaction.
