Better PRN (part 1)

The planet is in crisis, and this is a time when concrete action is necessary. We want to be part of that, so we’re incredibly proud to be working towards a more sustainable future for The PR Network’s global team.

Taking action for the planet

As part of our sustainability journey, we teamed up with climate consultancy Furthr to measure our emissions for 2022, examining how our company operates to see exactly where we can reduce our impact.

The areas we looked at included:

  • Travel emissions

  • Work from home emissions

  • Hours worked by our Associate Partners on behalf of The PR Network

  • Services and supplier associated emissions

Now that we have a clear idea of where our current emissions stand, we can create a proactive plan to reduce them as much as possible going forward.

Measurement and reduction of emissions are our top priorities. They’re the most important step in reaching our climate goals. That said, despite being a virtual business with no central office and most meetings held remotely, there will always be some unavoidable emissions attached to our company’s activities.

Offsetting unavoidable emissions

As well as reducing our carbon footprint, in 2024 we’ll be compensating for these unavoidable emissions by making meaningful investments in two incredible projects on the frontline of the climate crisis. This aligns with our strong commitment to neutralise our impact and support lasting environmental solutions.
